Diablo III System Requirements (PC & Mac)

Diablo 3 is the third installment in the Diablo series of games by Blizzard Entertainment. It's been a highly anticipated game and has gorgeous graphics. Diablo 3 requirements are categorized into minimum and recommended. Follow this guide to check your computer specifications (PC).

PC Minimal Requirements

Diablo 3 requires a PC that has Windows XP, Vista, or 7 installed on it. DirectX needs to be at least 9.0 or better. Processor needs are rather reasonable with the minimum being either an Intel Pentium D with a 2.8 gigahertz speed or an AMD Athlon 64 4400. As for graphics card requirements, NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT is needed. Alternately, one could have an ATI Radeon X1950 Pro to meet minimum standards. As for RAM, Diablo 3 needs at least one gigabyte of RAM if one have Windows XP, or 1.5 gigabytes for Windows Vista or Windows 7. Diablo 3 requires at least 12 gigabytes of free space on the hard drive. Obviously, computers need a DVD drive to insert the game disk and play it as well. Broadband internet is a must, and it needs to be fast enough to handle the game. Resolution must be at least 1024×768.

PC Recommended

The recommended settings are a bit different but will make the game experience better. Windows Vista or 7 are the optimal operating systems, while the Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 2.4 gigahertz speed is recommended. An AMD Athlon processor with 2.8 gigahertz or better speed is best as well. The recommended amount of RAM is 4 gigabytes, and the graphics card should be an NVIDIA GeForce 260 for optimal results. ATI Radeon HD 4870 is also a great card to use. 

Mac Minimal Requirements

Mac OS X 10.6.8 is the minimum requirement. The CPU needs to be at least an Intel Core 2 Duo while the graphics card should be NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT. ATI Radeon HD 2600 is another minimum possibility. Macs need to have at least 2 gigabytes of RAM and 12 gigabytes of free space on the hard drive. They also need a DVD drive and broadband internet capabilities. Just like with the PC, the resolution needs to be 1024x768. 

Mac Recommended

Diablo 3 requirements for optimal performance are OS X 10.7 or more, an Intel Core 2 Duo with at least 2.4 gigahertz speed, 4 gigabytes of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M graphics card. An ATI Radeon HD 4670 will suffice, too.

How to Install CHDK on Canon Digital Camera - Step by Step Guide

Canon "point and shoot" digital camera (pocket camera) has a lot of automatic settings and make things really easy, just point it to an object and click the shoot button and you're done. But if you want to explore more manual settings and use all hidden features on your Canon digital camera, you can use CHDK.

What is CHDK?

CHDK (Canon Hack Development Kits) is add-on software for your canon camera. CHDK enhances the capabilities of your camera in a non-permanent way... In this tutorial we won't install CHDK on the camera itself but on the SD card or the memory card, and then make the SD card as first boot when we turn on the camera. So don't worry, CHDK won't screw up your original Canon camera firmware.

How to Install CHDK?

Requirements:
- Canon PowerShot or IXUS Digital Camera
- SD Card/Memory card
- Card Reader

1:
We need to know the firmware version of the camera...
Turn on your camera, shoot an object, then copy the image (JPG) to your computer.
Download CameraVersion-SFX application here http://www.mediafire.com/?m0gkimwejud, extract it, then open/double click on CameraVersion11.exe



2:
Click Browse > select any JPG taken with your camera > click Open





3:
Remember your camera type and the firmware version....
on this guide I use my IXUS 90 IS (also known as PowerShot SD790)
and you can see the firmware version is 1.00D




4:
Open this webpage http://mighty-hoernsche.de/ then download the correct CHDK for your camera....
remember, do not extract the downloaded zip file...


5:
Insert SD card into your card reader... make sure the lock slider is in the un-locked position like shown on the picture below..




6:
Now download CardTricks v144 (http://www.mediafire.com/?uwntolitd1n) then extract it....
open/double click on CardTricks144.exe



7:
Click on SD Card icon.....

then select Canon SD Card and click OK.....

Click "Format as FAT" button....

Formatting will DESTROY ALL DATA on card H:\
Are you sure you want to continue ?

Click OK



10:
Click "Make Bootable"
it will make your camera able to boot from the SD card

Card is now bootable in Canon cams. Do not forget to set Write Protect on the card (slide tab up, away from the electric connectors) to take advantage of this feature.

Click OK




11:
Click CHDK->Card
then locate the downloaded CHDK zip file (from step 4) and click OK

Please wait when CardTricks installing the CHDK....



when message above disaapear you're done... CHDK installed....
click exit (or press Esc)


13:
Pull out the SD card from the computer....
now lock the card... don't worry, image will still be saved to the locked card...



14:
insert SD card to the camera then turn the camera on...



to go to CHDK menu press print button on the camera, you will see on the screen, then press menu button....







you can configure the extra camera settings from here...
press Menu button then press print button to exit from CHDK menu.....
